WELL BEHAVED PETS ARE WELCOMED AT THE LODGE by arrangement, NO MORE THAN 2 PETS CAN BE BOOKED. PLEASE ASK WHEN BOOKING.

Please note dogs must be on leads at all times whilst on the Eviedale site due to nearby livestock.

Eviedale cottages are tastefully decorated traditional Orkney cottages, both with multi-fuel stoves and all the comforts of home. Each cottage has parking space for one car and we are a few minutes walk to the village shop, with Post Office facilities.

 

Evie village is a lovely place to stay in Orkney with both Stromness and Kirkwall being just 20 mins drive away, and a stones throw from the beautiful sandy Evie beach. Neolithic Orkney is in easy distance with the Broch of Gurness less than 2 miles down the road and Skara Brae just a 20 min drive away.

Both cottages will have access to a communal garden with picnic tables and barbecue facilities. Please note this is not an enclosed garden and dogs must remain on leads whilst in the garden area. The garden is still work in progress as we work to transform it from its previous life as our campsite.

RENTAL CHARGES ;

NEW...please note; due to fluctuations in energy prices and the new short term let licencing brought in by the scottish government this year our prices may change due to circumstances beyond our control. We will endevour to update you as soon as we are aware.

EV charger; Eviedale has an EV charger on site, electricity for charging your car is not included in our rental fees, this will be charged by KWH used, please ask for details. Cars must not be charged from cottages with trailing leads but only by means of the charger provided.

RENTAL CHARGES ARE INCLUSIVE OF; 1 CAR PARKING SPACE, HEATING, ELECTRICITY, STARTER PACK OF KINDLING AND COAL FOR FIRE*, BED LINEN, TOWELS, TRAVEL COT (ORDERED IN ADVANCE) A COMPLIMENTARY GIFT IS INCLUDED. * addtional fuel for fire & car charging is extra.

Prices for each cottage are based on 2 adults, additional charges will apply for each additional guest/use of additional rooms due to increased laundry/electricity usage.

BOOKINGS ARE TAKEN FOR FULL WEEKS ONLY. DUE TO COVID 19 WE HAVE CLEANING PROTOCOLS IN PLACE BETWEEN BOOKINGS, CHECK IN & OUT TIMES ARE AFFECTED.

ENTRY IS FROM 4PM AND CHECK OUT TIME IS 9.30AM, TO ALLOW TIME FOR DEEP CLEANING.

COVID 19; THERE WILL BE STRICT CLEANING PROTOCOLS THAT GUESTS MUST ADHERE TO WHEN STAYING & LEAVING THE PROPERTY, INFORMATION WILL BE GIVEN WHEN BOOKING. THIS IS TO PROTECT YOURSELVES AND OUR CLEANERS AND FUTURE GUESTS.

A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF £250 IS PAYABLE ON BOOKING, THE BALANCE IS PAYABLE IN FULL 6 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL   IF YOUR BOOKING IS MADE LESS THAN 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL, FULL PAYMENT MUST BE MADE WHEN BOOKING.

 

​​CANCELLATIONS:

Our current cancellation terms apply, IN THE EVENT THAT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING WE WILL REQUIRE AT LEAST 8 WEEKS NOTICE PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL DATE TO ENSURE WE CAN RE-BOOK THE PROPERTY AND ENSURE A REFUND, MINUS THE NON-REFUNDABLE BOOKING DEPOSIT & ADMINISTRATION FEE.

UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT GUARANTEE REFUNDS AFTER THE 4 WEEK PERIOD PRIOR TO YOUR VISIT HAS ELAPSED, BUT WE WILL DO OUR UTMOST TO HELP OUT.

EVERY EFFORT WILL ALWAYS BE MADE TO HONOUR BOOKINGS. WE DO, HOWEVER, RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL SHOULD THE PROPERTY BE UNSUITABLE FOR YOUR VISITS DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES OUTWITH OUR CONTROL. SHOULD THIS OCCUR, A FULL REFUND WILL BE MADE OF THE RENTAL BALANCE, YOUR DEPOSIT CAN BE USED TOWARDS ANOTHER SUITABLE HOLIDAY WEEK.

FULL REFUNDS WILL NOT BE MADE UNFORTUNATELY. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE HOLIDAY INSURANCE IN PLACE THAT COVERS YOU FOR THIS EVENTUALITY.

N.B. ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS INCURRED SHOULD BE A MATTER FOR YOUR HOLIDAY INSURANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
