PLEASE NOTE; Unfortunately due to Covid 19 we have taken the decicision not to open our campsite this year.
Due to the size of our toilet facilities we feel we are unable to provide the level of safety required for our customers.
The toilet block will kept for the exclusive use of our Glamping Tent customers.
OUR CAMPING FIELD OVERLOOKS THE EYNHALLOW SOUND (ALSO KNOWN AS EVIE SOUND) WITH STUNNING VIEWS DOWN TO EVIE BEACH AND EVIE BAY. YOU CAN ALSO SEE THE ISLANDS OF ROUSAY AND EYNHALLOW ACROSS THE WATER, WHERE SOMETIMES PODS OF WHALES CAN BE SEEN AND SEALS FROLICKING IN THE SEA.
Unfortunately we only take Tents and 1 or 2 small camper vans as we do not have electric hook ups or chemical toilet facilities
CAMPING WITH A VIEW
Eviedale campsite is a basic family run rural site, split in two by the road through the village. The Glamping site is next to the cottages, this is where the toilet block is situated. This area is is reserved for our Bell Tent and occasional space for some camping.
The Camping Field, with the view over Eynhallow sound, down towards Evie beach, is on the other side of the road and affords more space for camping with a view, with a wild camping vibe.
We prefer Campers pre book as we are a very small site and dont have a reception office. Our small campsite is quiet and secluded, perfect for quiet eco camping. We only have space for 1 or 2 small campervans, these spaces are in our parking areas when space allows. We do not have any electric hook up's or chemical disposal faclities. We only allow the smallest size campervans and do not have space for motorhomes.
We ask that children are accompanied at all times, especially when crossing the road. We are dog lovers and well behaved dogs are welcomed at Eviedale campsite, in the field, by prior arrangement. Dogs must be on a lead at all times and must not be left unattended on the campsite at any time. It goes without saying that you are responsible for cleaning up after your dog, facilities are provided. T&C's
PLEASE NOTE; EVIEDALE IS A NO SMOKING SITE, PLEASE RESPECT OUR WISHES
“Great place to camp in Orkney”
Fairly priced, great setting, good facilities and some shelter from the ever blowing wind!
A great location to act as a base for travelling round the Orkney mainland. Thank you!
“Great wee campsite”
If you camp here, go across the road and pitch there. The view is worth crossing the road. Great location for visiting the northern Islands.
